Intended use
Description
A dual antigen ELISA for detection of antibodies against Capripoxvirus viruses, including the large-legged nodular dermatite virus (LSD), sheep smallpox virus (SPPV), goat smallpox virus (GTPV) in serum or plasma of cattle, sheep, goats or other sensitive animals.
- First commercially available ELISAwhich allows an antibodies to be treated as a large-legged nodular dermatite virus (LSD)
- High specificity In the CPV-free region (>99.7%). No cross-responses with Parapoxvirus
- Detecting antibodies to large-gear nodular dermatitis virus in infected and vaccinated animals. Equivalent specificity has been identified compared to immunoperoxide monolayer analysis, improved sensitivity compared with the response to neutralisation of the virus (antibodies were detected from 20 days after vaccination to 7 months)
- Simplicity of use, ready to use reagents:: Provides high productivity when specialized equipment is not needed to prevent the spread of pathogenic factors.
