The reagent kit is designed to detect RNA coronavirus (Bovine coronavirus, BCov) of cattle in biological material (fecals, intestinal tissue, whole blood) by reverse transcription and polymeric chain reaction (PCR) with real-time fluorescent section (OT-PCR PB).

The coronavirus of the CRS is manifested in the diarrhea of newborn veals, respiratory pathology of young people and so-called adult winter dysentery. The special feature of the infection is that the coronavirus of the CRS is reproduced both in the intestinal and respiratorial tract of the calves. Life-based diagnostics based only on analysis of clinical and epizootic data are extremely difficult and can only offer an etymology of the disease. Serological tests based on the identification of specific antibodies have limited diagnostic value due to the inability to detect in the blood serum increased antibodies concentration in the first two weeks of life.
