The reagent kit is designed to identify the DNA of brucellosis Brucella spp. (B.melitensis, B.abortus, B.suis, B.ovis, B.canis, etc.) in biological material (int blood, blood plasma, blood serum, milk, abdominal and stomach contents, an abortion liver, placenta and fruit sheaths from an abortioned animal, burse, gigrome; paired lymph nodes; parenhymatose organ fragments) by a polymerease chain reaction with a real-time fluorescent child (PCR RV).

A set of PCR-F-BROSELEZ-FACTOR reagents with an electrophoric detection of amplication products in agarose gel (cat. No. FD16818-VET) is also available for the diagnosis.

Animal brucellosis is a chronic infectious disease, often manifested by abortion, post-mortem detention, endometriths and animal reproductive capacity disorders. Brucella: Br. abortus (brucellosis of cattle); Br. melitensis (sheep and goats; particularly vulnerable); Br. suis (pork); Br. neotomae (rat); Br. ovis (infection of barans); Br. canis (dog) capable of migrating on animals of another species and resistant to the outside environment. Economic damage consists of lack of fertilization (abortion can be recorded in 60% of animals), hunger, reduced productivity, high costs of quarantine activities; human disability (mostly due to damage to joints) and even death.
