Intended use
Description
A dual antigen ELISA for antibodies against Capripoxvirus, including the Undiverse Skin Virus (LSDV), the Shippox Virus (SPPV) and the Cappox Poison Virus (GTPV) in serum or plasma of cattle, sheep, goats or other sensitive species.
- The first commercially available ELISA that allows antibodies to be detected with a non-blind skin.
- Very high specificity in regions free of CPV (> 99.7 per cent) should not have a cross reaction with parapoxvirus.
- Detects antibodies against LSDV in vaccinated or infected animals. At least equivalent to IPMA and improved sensitivity compared to VNT (detection of antibodies from 20 dpv to at least 7 months after vaccination).
- Simple handling, ready-to-use reagents and high performance screening without the need to use high-level localization.
