Intended use
Description
Competitive ELISA for detecting antibodies to Newcastle disease virus nucleoprotein (anti-NDV) in domestic and wild birds.
The assay can be used to determine the immune status of an individual bird, flock or population.
Note: most ID Screen chicken kits use similar protocols (buffers, incubation times and temperatures).
- Widely used in the State monitoring programme
- Multi-species analysis: The only commercially available ELISA applicable to both wild and domestic bird species
- Application for monitoring Diseases in non-vaccination regions
- High sensitivity and specificity: earlier detection of seroconversion (7 days after vaccination) compared with indirect ELISA; high analytical sensitivity; detection of all strains; no cross-reaction with avian paramyxovirus type 3 (APMV-3)
- Short incubation period: 75 minutes (30-30-15)
- Application for egg yolk (sampling convenience and prevention of stress reactions in hens)
- Integrated data analysis using IDSoft™ software
- Positive and negative reference sera are available for internal control
